Show Notes: This was night one of Big Shrimp’s six-night residency at RoadRunner in Bridgeport, CT, dubbed the Black Rock Special. The food special for the evening was a “SHrImP of CRUELs SUMMER sMASH BURGER” presumably a reference to Grateful Dead (Ship of Fools) and Taylor Swift (Cruel Summer). The band donated a portion of proceeds from the evening to support Bridgeport Rescue Mission, and the evening was sponsored by Black Rock Vintage. Every night of the Black Rock Special also starts with a local Lucky Stars Talent Showcase, showcasing local talent. The band quoted “You Belong with Me” (Taylor Swift) prior to “Don’t Shoot the Messenger”.
